General
These baggage transport conditions (hereinafter: regulation) have been established on the basis of § 60 subsection 7 of the Public Transport Act and are valid for passenger service in all public vehicles of OÜ GENITEH (hereinafter: the carrier). The rule applies to all passengers traveling on the carrier's long-distance, city, municipal and county lines, as well as drivers of public vehicles serving these lines.
Carry-on luggage in the cabin of a shared vehicle
The passenger has the right to carry hand luggage free of charge in the cabin of a shared vehicle, the sum of the unit dimensions of height, width and depth does not exceed 200 centimeters and the total weight of the units does not exceed 40 kilograms on city, rural and county lines, and the sum of dimensions does not exceed 150 centimeters and the total weight of the units does not exceed 30 kilograms on long-distance lines.
In addition, other things carried by a reasonable passenger in a shared vehicle can be transported free of charge in the cabin of a shared vehicle, in particular mobility aids, musical instruments, prams and buggies, sledges, skis in a case, small animals and birds in cages or boxes. In county and long-distance transport, the items mentioned in this point are transported, as a rule, if there is free space in the trunk of the shared vehicle. In cages or boxes, small animals and birds and mobility aids can also be transported in the cabin if there is a justified need, with the permission of the public transport driver.
Hand luggage must be placed in the cabin in a shelf under the ceiling of the bus, under the seat, on your lap or in another place designated for luggage storage in the public transport, if such a place exists.
Hand luggage carried in the cabin of a shared vehicle is under the care of the passenger and the passenger is responsible for it.
It is not allowed to carry prohibited baggage or carry-on baggage containing substances and things on the list of prohibited baggage in the cabin of a shared vehicle. Prohibited luggage are radioactive, explosive, poisonous, corrosive, flammable, flammable and smearing substances and substances and things without appropriate packaging, as well as substances and things that stain or damage public transport.
Hand luggage and other items specified in point 2.2 of these regulations must not disturb or endanger the driver and passengers of the shared vehicle, prevent passengers from entering, exiting and moving in the cabin of the shared vehicle and stain or damage the clothes, luggage or bus cabin of the passengers.
Transport of small animals in the passenger compartment
The driver has the right to transport small animals in the cabin of the shared vehicle free of charge. Small animals are primarily dogs, cats, rabbits, other rodents, fish and small birds.
The small animal must be kept in a suitable cage (also in a box, bag or aquarium) throughout the trip. Dogs must be on a short leash and wear a muzzle.
The driver may take one small animal with him, provided that the animal and its cage are clean. It is not allowed to transport small animals that are sick or endanger the life or health of passengers.
A small animal must not obstruct or disturb the movement or sitting of passengers in the cabin of a shared vehicle or cause damage in any other way. A passenger with a small animal is obliged to change seats at the justified request of the bus driver.
A passenger transporting a small animal in the cabin of a public vehicle and the damage caused by it shall be responsible on the grounds and in the order prescribed by the Civil Code.
The presence of a small animal in a bus seat intended for carrying passengers is strictly prohibited. Except in exceptional cases and with the consent of the bus driver, in a way that fully guarantees the cleanliness and preservation of the seat. In this case, the passenger must buy a full ticket for a small animal.
The guide dog of a visually impaired passenger travels free of charge.
Luggage transportation in the trunk of a shared vehicle
The provisions of this point are applied only if the public vehicle serving the route has a luggage compartment.
The passenger has the right to carry luggage and special luggage free of charge in the luggage compartment of the shared vehicle, the sum of the height, width and depth of the unit does not exceed 150 centimeters and the total weight of the units does not exceed 30 kilograms, as well as other things specified in point 2.2 of these regulations.
It is not allowed to carry prohibited luggage or luggage containing substances and things on the list of prohibited luggage in the luggage compartment of a shared vehicle. Luggage containing valuable electronic devices (laptop, camera, mobile phone, etc.), coins, securities, gold, silver, jewels, works of art or other valuables are not allowed to be transported in the bus luggage compartment. The passenger is obliged to take such baggage into the cabin of the shared vehicle as hand luggage.
The luggage must be clean and must not damage the trunk of the shared vehicle, the luggage of other passengers or special luggage.
Transportation of special luggage and high-value luggage in the trunk of a shared vehicle
The provisions of this point are applied only if the public vehicle serving the route has a luggage compartment.In the sense of the regulations, oversized luggage, such as a bicycle, stroller or stroller, skateboard, skis, sled, snow, sail, wave or waterboard, musical instrument, golf bag, fishing, diving or surfing equipment, etc., is considered special luggage.
The carrier takes special luggage into the trunk of a shared vehicle if all passengers' luggage can be accommodated and placed in the trunk. In the case of several pieces of special luggage, the passenger who arrived first will be placed in the special luggage first.
Special luggage must be safely packed or taken into parts for transport (e.g. if necessary, remove the front and rear wheels of the bicycle, lower the handlebars and saddle, and remove the pedals, etc.).
Special luggage must be clean and must not damage the trunk of the shared vehicle, the luggage of other passengers or special luggage. Seats for special luggage cannot be booked in advance, the acceptance of special luggage depends on the size of the bus's luggage compartment. Baggage with a value exceeding 300 euros is considered high-value baggage. If the passenger places luggage in the luggage compartment, the value of which exceeds 300 euros and which, due to the size or nature of the luggage, cannot be taken into the cabin of the shared vehicle, the passenger undertakes to inform the driver of the shared vehicle about the high value of the luggage to be handed over, and the bus driver is obliged to issue the passenger a receipt proving the surrender of this luggage. If the checked-in luggage can be transported safely in the cabin of the shared vehicle, the driver of the shared vehicle has the right to demand that the passenger takes such luggage as hand luggage under his own responsibility.
Placing luggage and special luggage in the luggage compartment
Baggage, high-value luggage and special luggage are accepted and released for transportation by the driver of the shared vehicle.
The carrier's responsibility for luggage starts from the moment when the shared vehicle driver has accepted the luggage, high-value luggage or special luggage for transportation and ends at the moment when the shared vehicle driver has issued it to the passenger.
Passengers must strictly follow the bus driver's instructions when placing luggage and special luggage in and out of the luggage compartment.
Passengers are prohibited from opening and closing the bus trunk.
Notification of damage or loss of baggage and special baggage and compensation for damage in case of damage or loss of baggage and special baggage
The carrier's responsibility does not extend to luggage taken into the luggage compartment, which contains the rules in clauses 4.3. and 4.4 said items.
In the event of externally recognizable damage to luggage and special luggage or loss from the luggage compartment, the passenger must notify the driver of the shared vehicle when leaving the shared vehicle and notify the contact of the carrier specified in point 8.2 of the rules in a form that enables written reproduction of the circumstances of the damage, if known, and the extent of the damage.
In case of externally unrecognizable damage to baggage and special baggage, the passenger must generally report the damage, the circumstances of its occurrence, if known, and the extent of the damage to the contact of the carrier specified in point 8.2 of the regulation within fourteen (14) days of leaving the public vehicle or issuing the baggage.
In the event that the passenger has not informed the bus driver of lost high-value luggage in accordance with clause 5.6 and has not requested a receipt certifying the surrender of luggage, the carrier is not obliged to compensate the luggage at a higher rate than specified in clause 5.6 in the event of the loss of such luggage.
In the case of damage caused by damage or loss of luggage or special luggage accepted by the driver of the shared vehicle for transportation in the trunk of the shared vehicle, the loss is compensated on the basis of purchase receipts submitted by the passengers or other documents that sufficiently prove the value of the items accepted for transportation.
In the event that the carrier and the passenger cannot agree on the amount of damages to be compensated, the case will be resolved on the grounds and procedure prescribed in the Civil Code, taking into account the limits of the carrier's liability stipulated in the Law of Obligations Act.
Unclaimed and found baggage
Baggage not taken out and found in the cabin (except for perishables) will be stored within three (3) months from the date of discovery.
